In Ubud, I met this little girl going to school in her uniform on my way to paddy tracking. I took this photo in thunder speed as she was so shy that she wouldn’t slow down for me.
When I saw her, I thought this is what I haven’t seen for so long. I just adore simplicity and modesty, and I simply love people with knowledge, not from books but life experiences. I’ve seen too many clever people with knowledge, but I slowly getting less and less impressed by them at this age of my life. I slowly realise the one who reads is so senseless, unreasonably snobbish, constantly showing off, and started to actually looking down on them. I think these people come lower than people who don’t read.
Why don’t you impress me?

Hi Chloe, I don’t think it’s fair to categorise the well read from those who don’t in such manner. I love to read but I don’t think I am senseless, snobbish or a show-off. Even those who are not educated can be as snobbish and pompous. It’s all in their mentality and low self-esteemed.
Anyway, like the photo of the school girl. Great shot.
